Welcome New Members
- It’s easy to participate, just attend one educational meeting or help with one community project a year, in addition to what you already do to harden your home and property, and then send in volunteer work logs every October.
- The logs are only seen by the board to compile risk reduction investment, and vegetation removal for recertification.
- It’s easy to re-certify, just fill out one volunteer work log a year with a summary of your home, property, and community hardening tasks, including the costs of equipment and services, and send to the board by October.
- Once we are certified, participants receive a certificate that can be sent to participating insurance providers for a fire insurance discount.
- The Board stays informed and in touch with agencies, handles communications, prioritizes and coordinates projects, applies for grants, and creates actions plans when needed, and complies the logs for recertification in November.
- The Board has volunteers from sections 1 and 3, and we need representatives from section 2.
- Additional volunteers are welcome on the board, and/or to help with our activities and projects.
